Another huge turnout of Veteran, Edwardian, Vintage and Classic cars was seen at Newby Hall near Ripon this July. The STD Register was represented by members Derek and Kath Plowright in their Sunbeam 24/60 Laundaulette, John and Margery Tomsett in their Talbot T15 Baby, Paul and Jayne Wignall: Sunbeam 20.9 Weyman saloon and Noel and Ann Bagshaw in the wonderful Sunbeam Speed 20 sports. Trevor and Jane Corner were taking a break from hill climbing and were in Trevor’s 95/105 Talbot. However parked in the Vintage/Edwardian section was this wonderful 1919 25/50 Talbot fitted with a limousine body belonging to non member Stan Harding. Bought at Bonhams Beaulieu sale last July this majestic Talbot will cruise happily at 50mph, and will according to Stan’s son easily do 60! It had one family ownership for 40 years and is unmolested.
