As you may have read in the Newsletter the format of this years AGM is changing somewhat. Instead of the officers of the club reading out their annual report of the various activities they have been progressing on your behalf (which you will already have read in the NL) , most of the afternoon will be devoted to an open discussion on what you want from YOUR STD Register. It is time to have your say and put forward your views and ideas on the way the Register should proceed. Therefore the more people who attend and who can make a contribution the
2018 STD AGM Sunday Programme
The 2018 AGM Sunday programme is a short 4 mile run to Charlecote Park, home of the Lucy Family.
Charlecote Park , as the name suggests is not only a substantial stately home, but an extensive deer park with a number of walks, 1/2mile, one mile or two miles, take your pick. They all have extensive views over the Warwickshire countryside and the River Avon. The park opens at 11.00am allowing you half an hour for a stroll before the house itself opens at 11.30. Entrance to the house and parklands is approx £12. for more info on Charlecote visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/charlecote-park.
Although Charlecote is owned by the National Trust it is still the Lucy famill’s home, as it has been for over 800 years.
An hour should be sufficient to take in the splendours of the house and outbuildings which house amongst other things a brewery, a Victorian kitchen and the family’s carriages.
A six mile drive through the lanes with some good views will take you to Alderminster and the Bell Inn, who can accommodate up to 24 people for lunch. As per last year we will have our own room. Lunch its timed for 1.30pm with a sit down at 1.15. You will be able to choose from one, tow or three courses as per the attached menus and pay on the day.
Last year we had an excellent lunch here and I am sure this year will be the same.
I will need your pre orders by March 9th. To see the menu, PLEASE CLICK BELOW:
